The right to bear arms is just another joke that you guys use to kill time with.

I am a Pennsylvania resident, with a small cabin in upper NY state: It is illegal (or ... not a right...) for me to transport a rifle (a .22 caliber at that) across state lines from PA to NY. It's not that i need to get a permit to do this, it is simply against the law. I know this because i spent two days in court houses in NY talking to the proper authorities. I was told that the only way that i could legally own a gun -any gun- in NY was if i was a NY resident. I told them that i own property in NY and pay their property taxes. That didn't float their boat. My primary residence is still in PA, and i cannot own (or transport across state lines) a freekin' .22 target rifle.

The right to bear arms argument is just another bitching point that keeps the liberals and conservatives at each other's necks while the real issues of poverty and human suffering stand in front and stare directly at us, waiting for their turn.

So how would you resolve your gun problem?  Just ignore the “law” and hope that you don’t get caught disregarding it?  That is what I would do.

But I don’t understand how you see it as a “bitching point” between the right and the wrong (I mean left).  It is a fundamental issue.  The individual right to keep and bear arms is a Constitutional right.  Those, including the State, that claim otherwise are lying to you.  They should not be trusted- they have an agenda.
