I knew you could. As I understand this, as long as we are winning, Obama has no plans to bring the troops home. If we see an increase in American deaths, he wants to withdraw them ASAP. Basically, it depends on what the polling data says. This idiot isn't qualified to lead a dog to his leg, let alone the greatest nation in the history of the world. http://www.iht.com/articles/2008/07/04/america/campaign.php

I have been saying the same thing. It really shows how poorly off the Democrats are. This should be an Obama landslide.

Cause for concern, to be sure. In the last 71/2 years we've experienced the other extreme; an unwillingness or inability to adapt to changing conditions.

Obama hasn't flip-flopped. He's been artfully vague from the beginning ... there is a difference between being vague and vacant. yes he has flip-flopped, obfuscated and lied.

So this is really about which candidate has the better political skills, not his actual position on issues. every election is to some degree dependent upon the political skills of the candidates. beyond this obvious point, this election is turning on the innate inequities of little mac the candidate and the culturally/intellectually shallow nature of america today.

Cause for concern, to be sure. In the last 71/2 years we've experienced the other extreme; an unwillingness or inability to adapt to changing conditions. examples please Condition requiring change: large expenditure (2 wars). W's response: cut taxes and hope a rising economy will pay for the adventure in Iraq. Fiscally immature. Condition requiring change: Ground conditions extend expected time frame of wars. W's response: refuse to raise revenue to pay for costs, driving grandchildren into near-insurmountable debt. Condition requiring change: Putting obviously unqualified "friends" in positions of power as reward for political support (e.g. Miers & Brownie). Response: nominate Gonzo for Justice. Condition requiring change: economy not responding to tax cuts; might be time to cut domestic expenditures so troops can get the funding they need. Republican congressional response: spend money wildly.\ Etc.
