From the looks of it, it mainly centered on helping residents to organize and pressure landlords to repair apartments, a battle over asbestos, etc.  Check it out for yourself.  Here's a few links:

What is wrong with mediating disputes?

Nothing.  But providing common sense solutions to those who lack common sense is not really a qualification to be President in a country that is supposed to be about individual freedom as opposed to government handouts.   It is a qualification for a low-level government employee.

It seems, IMHO, that having mediating skills who be a foreign policy plus.

Being a diplomat on the world stage is nothing like trying to teach dunderheads how to balance their checkbooks.  Foreign diplomats are acting on behalf of their nation-state and are quite knowledgeable and skilled in the issues and in the art of diplomacy (such as it is).

Perhaps. Still possessing mediation skills of whatever type is a plus, IMHO.

This was a job he held after college, before he went to law school. I wouldn't have put it on my resume if I were him.

It's one thing for people to discover it when researching his past - it was a good experience and reflects well on him as a person. But for him to talk about it as though it has relevance to being president is lame.

Exactly- it is sort of an “entry level” job.  I would never put it on my resume unless I were trying to become a social worker.
