this is more than a little silly. looking at the material provided by scaybeez, there is no indication that bo did or accomplished anything, nothing, zilch, zip, nada. bo was paid by the tax payers to hang out and direct locals to the nearest handout. what does become apparent is that bo was working closely with the local churches most significantly trinity united. clearly he must have been well aware of trinity's mission statement which most charitably is described as black liberation but is more accurately described as black separatist.
While I can understand how someone who is already pessimistic about Obama might reach that conclusion, to me, it seems that anyone who has done any organizing in their community would understanding that Obama's role here was to talk to the people of that community, learn what their grievances are, and help THEM to organize and do something about.
The initiative was meant to be the responsibility of the community and his job was mainly to work behind the scenes, point them in the right direction, and give them the tools they needed to do something about their own lives. He wasn't being paid to be a savior. He was being paid to be a man behind the curtain.
