I just watched part 1 of the interview. It was interesting and am looking forward to the balance of them next week. O'Reilly is what he is; Obama handled his questions easily.
How about the one on the surge?

What about it? His answer was to the point and absolutely correct. The surge was designed to quell some of the violence, which it did, but it was also expected that the Iraqi government would respond to the surge by finally accepting some of it's military responsibilities, which it hasn't. In fact, saying that Iraq has a working government body is still to this day a joke.

When Obama gave a campaign stump speech answer, O'Reilly kicked his ass. Obama could only smile, stutter and stammer. Hahahaha
Obama only looks good when he is asking himself all of the questions.
Obama is dog food for Palin and McCain!

bo for the first time without qualification admitted not just to the success of the surge, but success beyond his wildest dreams. yet somehow within the acknowledgment of this success, he still maintains that his opposition was correct. further, your statement re iraqi military responsibilities is just plain wrong. was it yesterday or the day before that we handed over anbar province to the iraqi army?

Iraq's national government is an ineffective joke- a bit worse than ours But its local government system works great.

So? He didn't want to go to war. Why should he NOW say "Yeah, I was WRONG for not wanting to go to war..."? He would never. But that doesn't mean he can't claim this war is a success on the same token. You're still stuck believing that people who are against the war want it to fail. Plenty of people don't want--or didn't want this war, but none would wish NOW THAT WE ARE THERE that we fail. Don't you get it?

you do realize that you are attempting to rationalize his misrepresenting himself for personal/political gain.

If Obama did not support the invasion of Iraq, how could he ever logically claim it was a great success? This tells me, Obama did not support the invasion of Iraq because he thought it could never acheive the goals that were laid out. In other words, Obama is a clueless idiot that is unfit to be President. lol

Excellent reporting, Grumpy! You forgot to mention that Obama was forced to use single-syllable words to communicate with Bill DumbFuck. Words that Bill could understand. O'Reilly is so stylish and classy. Only he has the intellect to assess that what voters really, REALLY care about is all of the really bad guys that Obama has conspired with since his birth. Guilt by association has been a right-wing winning tactic for some time now.

It turns out that Obama does not do well without a teleprompter.
