Then, once again, we are in agreement.  I like Rush.  And I like Savage.  Hannity is OK, but I dislike his debate style.

The media triedto crucify Rush over the pain medication shit. ai know how biased they are, thats why nothing they say is believable. Rush is a private citizen, Edwards is a private citizen?  Edwards is not a private citizen and he should receive the same scrutiny that Rush did.

Before the National Enquirer brought up this possible news story (we don't know if this is tyicpal Enquirer stuff), the Breck Girl was on Bo's short list for VIP.  That makes the story investigation worthy.  It if is based on lies it is still a good story and would likely help the Breck Girl if it was discovered that a rag media outlet was smearing him.

If it will help McCain, I hope its true. Otherwise I don't care. It would be nice if he chose Edwards and the story broke after the dem. convention. That would show obama's great judgement. LOL The media would be forced to cover it. After all, they want a story. There could be some payoffs at this point. Nothing the liberals do would surprise me.  Roll Eyes

When John Edwards admitted Friday that he lied about his affair with filmmaker Rielle Hunter, a former employee of his campaign, he may have ended his public life but he certainly ratified an end to the era in which traditional media set the agenda for national political journalism.

Well, that certainly isn’t news….

And the NYTimes reviews why it and the broader media failed

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/08/09/business/media/09media.html?_r=1&ref=politics&oref=slogin

Fox News Channel, The San Francisco Chronicle, The Miami Herald and the Web site of New York Magazine were among those that first mentioned The Enquirer reports in late July. MSNBC did so only back-handedly, by showing a clip of Mr. Letterman joking about it.

The Charlotte Observer and The News & Observer of Raleigh have each written about the matter several times over the last nine days, and a Los Angeles Times blog took it up.

But many news organizations — including The New York Times — weighed in only after ABC News announced on Friday that it had an interview with Mr. Edwards, in which he admitted the affair but denied paternity.

Well the traditional media is making itself non-relevant.  They simply won't matter much longer.
