So.

Now that I've learned that the right thinks the left is fascist just as much as the left thinks the right is, where the hell does this country go from here?  Into another civil war?

I think all Americans would agree fraud is a huge problem.
Start fighting fraud and see which groups cries "Foul"
Then you will have identified the element that is the problem in America.  Smiley

most Americans dont consider themselves left or right. they just want good policy from our leaders. When Americans get informed, they espacially become that way.

Who are the true patriots: those who conform or those who protest against wars without purpose? How can it be said that blind support for war, no matter how misdirected the policy, is the duty of the patriot?

Yes.  I agree.  Liberty and freedom will win, not this socialist religious commie patriotic Bill Hicks and Toby Keith bullshit.  Nobody of this nature knows anything about America.  They just want to shoot fags, hang naggers, and execute retards.

I'd fight a communist/conservative to defend my country. Wink

I learned it with my eyes and ears.  People hate each other, and they hate this country--whether they see that or not.  I am so sick of it.  Sick to my stomach, and I wish this would all end peacefully.

But it will not.

It will escalate to another civil war.  Everybody's confused and pissed off.

Look at wow.  Look at gorknoids, look at trex, look at wow, look at you and grump!  You all have some weird thing against democrats where you suggest they are taking over the country!  That is the FIRST step towards civil war--blaming things on people that just are not true!! Angry

So, where does it go from here?  I obviously cannot convince people to just leave others alone.  You guys are on a seek-and-destroy mission, and it comes straight from Hitler!

Honestly sometimes I don't even like being on here because of all the fucking negativity towards the left side!!!!!!!  And I'M the one who's a whiner?HuhHuh?

Listen to yourself. Yes, you are whining and hyperventilating to boot. Get a hold of yourself! Civil war? Hiitler? Fascism?  Huh

No one has suggested that liberals are taking over the country. I have, to my knowledge, never attacked the Democrats on this forum. I have attacked multiculturalists. It's not my fault their ideas are accepted by the Democrats, is it? I don't think anyone on this site hates this country. I think the vast majority of users and guests care deeply about the USA. Otherwise, they wouldn't bullshit on a political message board.

 Cheesy no problem

There is certainly a divide. Politics is a divisive business. Always has been, always will be in a democracy anyway. Look at it this way....take it as a sign that men aren't complacent.

It gets in our way though.  We could and should be much better at organizing society.

If there is indeed a perfect way to run society, it should be obvious to the ones who are supposed to be leading us.

I don't know.  Maybe democracy is the last and only way people can live peacefully.  I hope we don't fuck that up too.

It's obvious that America plays a vital role inspiring the future of the entire world.  We only get one shot.  That's something to care about.

Don't get discouraged, Spunkloaf! Keep in mind two things...

1. Our system of government is still the best. If the party you disagree with gets elected, you only have to wait four years for another chance. Although each side may not respect the other, we still respect the process.

2. Many people who disagree with the Democratic platform agree with a lot of its principles. They just don't believe the federal government should control everything but rather that individuals and local governments should be able to decide and provide as much as possible for themselves. This is completely different from those who want the goverment to reflect their religious views.

There's no perfect way to run society. Our leaders are human, and power is shared. It's not the most efficient system, but ensures more of a consensus and balance.
