Egalitarianism is simply absurd

I've heard it opined that Obama has much less of a chance to railroad a hideous immigration package through. Hopefully, he can be stymied on his court nominations and if so I can settle for 4 years of this clown.

clearly he will control both the house and the senate.  the questions are will he have a filibuster proof majority in the senate and will what is left of the republican party unite under conservative philosophy.

Are you saying they - and everyone else - should work solely within the duopoly, or just that those particular individuals are egomaniacs?
what i am saying is that none of these (forgot kucinich) ever had a snowball's chance in hell.  paul, demonstrated the possibility of a viable third party movement, but needs to accept that his candidacy was just planting the seeds.  now they must seek to grow a grass roots movement and cultivate a competitive candidate.
paul, gravel, nader, barr, mckinney etc are all exercises of ego over reality.

What then are McCain and Obama? Ugly reality?

OswaldTheOsprey
unfortunately yes and an extremely ugly reality it is.  maybe a bo victory could hasten the resurgence of conservatism.

Time will tell in re both-Obama's victory and conservatism's resurgence.

Conservatism made a comeback in 1994 and that turned out to be a tremendous failure. Gingrich’s “Contract with America” was nothing more than a propaganda tool.

Bobby Jindal shows some promise, though. Maybe he’ll run in 2012.

Both conservatism and liberalism have resurgences when the other one is a failure.

Obama is swaying toward the right (If there IS a right in his world) so McKinney should take votes from him.

bo is not swaying he is tacking purposefully to the right because that is where he believes the prize is to be won.  if elected he will quickly return to his far left roots.

If? I'd say "when elected". Obama is certainly your next president.

i think this has the possibility of being close and even a little mac win, although there is no doubt that bo is currently a clear favorite.

I expect more people to vote for Ralph Nader than this crazy bitch. I doubt it will be enough to give McCain the presidency, though.
