Imagine you are in an airport lounge between flights, and several persons you have never seen before in your life, who hail from different parts of the country, are gathered 'round the bar, when the conversation turns to politics, economics, etc.

You know a person is a conservative or libertarian when, to press home his point, he states something to the effect of, "Well, an analysis of all the relevant data reveals we should take the following steps . . ."

You know the person speaking is a liberal when he states, "I FEEL we should take the following steps . . . "

Liberalism is an emotional response to life; far, far removed from facts, logic, reason and historical perspective.

Conservatives and libertarians, on the other hand, make their decisions BASED on facts, logic, reason and historical perspective.

Frankly, I didn't think about it. Now that you ask I do think there is a greater emotional component in liberalism. Do  I think all liberals are overly emotional girly men? No.

pitty is a moderate who is driven by common sense unlike a lot of people on this site who are convinced anyone who disagrees with their political view is the devil. its about debate and doing whats right. if you try to crush discussion and debate then you are not a TRUE AMERICAN -- whatever happened to respresenting the will of the people? you seem to prefer a dictatorship
