EXCELLENT QUESTION:
The law BIGTEX would enact would PROHIBIT the involuntary transfer of wealth from one party to another, save for legitimate (Constitutionally-mandated) functions of government.

My one law would be that any law passed by the federal government must fit within the parameters of the Constitution as written (including current Amendments). Any current federal law that doesn’t pass that test is immediately null and void. (Don’t forget the Constitution has an amendments clause.)

Had that law been in effect over the past hundred years, and if it also applied to Presidential candidates, we would have been spared the insults visited upon our republic by Jimmy Carter, John Kerry, Al Gore, B. Hussein Obama, Lyndon B. Johnson, Hillary Clinton, Harry S. Truman and Franklin D. Roosevelt.
