Those “parasites” come here because their countries are a pieces of shit.  I don’t blame them for wanting to be here.  Despite the liberal mantra, the US is the best nation on earth.  Of course they want to be here.  The problem is our own government that refuses to protect our boarder and set sensible immigration policies to attract only the types of skill-sets that we need and no more.  The problem is with corporations that treat migrants as slave labor.  The problem is Americans who refuse to pay more to have slave-labor free products. 

I welcome any person who wants to come to America on these conditions:
- they believe in our Constitution and way of life
- they have something to offer that we need
- they are not looking for a handout

I agree with you on your conditions, but thats not why these people come here.  They come to take advantage of what thier own govt wont give them and swear allegiance to Mexico.  Its been a long time coming to pull the rug out from under them or start billing the mexican govt for the services we provide to thier people.

I think NAFTA has contributed to the illegal immigration problem to some extent. A lot of jobs have been lost in Mexico because of NAFTA, so they come here to the U.S. to provide for their families.

I'm all for free trade, don't get me wrong -- I just want it to benefit people more than multinational corporations. I don't know how much good NAFTA has done for working people in the three nations.

It did.  With free trade of agricultural products the Mexican farms could not compete with the American farms putting tens of thousands or more out of work.

It is because of stories like this that we need to secure the border and deport as many illegal immigrants we can find. I honestly believe the majority of immigrants that come to this country are looking for jobs, but that doesn’t mean I don’t believe there are rotten apples looking to harm the most innocent of us.

I saw a story from Arizona about an illegal immigrant that raped four different women within a two week time span. The governor of that state didn’t comment on the issue – she was too busy endorsing Barack Obama.

I agree with your general sentiments.  However, I believe that the vast majority of the migrants moving in from the South are good people.  But when you have ~20 million people, even a small percentage of bad apples could be devastating from a crime standpoint.  Regardless, even the most peace-loving migrants are a harm to a society if they do not assimilate.

We will hear about stories like this every day until our government does something about the immigration crisis. Close the U.S./Mexico and U.S./Canada borders and deport as many illegal immigrants as possible. In the long run, immigration to the United States should be greatly reduced.

I am not disputing that. 

I would frog-march them to the boarder- but with the realization that the vast majority of them were good people.  I would give them some good advice on self-reliance and creating a great country of ones' own during the frog-march.  Hell, if they actually grew a pair and wanted to fight to create a decent country of their own I might join them.  Of course I would have to be commissioned as a Colonel at least.  And I would want the option of picking prime real estate on the shore to put my compound.  I mean the really white sand beaches with the really blue water.  Not that lesser quality bullshit.
