"It's hard to imagine a refugee from Iraq more deserving of residence in the United States than Saman Kareem Ahmad. The 38-year-old Kurd lost his family during Saddam Hussein's genocidal chemical attack against his home town of Halabja in 1988; for the last several years, his de facto family has been the U.S. Marine Corps, for which he bravely served as a translator in Fallujah. Driven out of Iraq by death threats in 2006, he was admitted to the United States under a special visa program for translators and granted asylum. He now provides instruction for Marines headed to Iraq from the base in Quantico.

Yet, as recounted by The Post's Karen DeYoung on Sunday, Mr. Ahmad's application for permanent residence in the United States was denied last month by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. The pretext was patently absurd: Mr. Ahmad had once served in the militia of the Kurdish Democratic Party (KDP), which USCIS officials deemed an "undesignated terrorist organization" because it had fought against the Iraqi government -- the government, that is, of Saddam Hussein. Left out of the USCIS calculations were the facts that the KDP is one of the few unambiguously pro-American forces in Iraq; that the group does not appear on any U.S. government list of terrorists; and that the KDP's military activities against Saddam were encouraged and materially supported by the United States.

As I was reading this monsieur grumpee a wtf question popped into my brain ... in some posts you show great concern for the iraqi people, you say that we can't just leave them and you support our borrowing hundreds of billions of dollars from our grand-children to pay for it and shed the lives of our soldiers to protect them.

And here is someone who helped us during georgies grand adventure in iraq, he's helping train our soldiers to be better prepared for their deployment and you say fuck him.

Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh

i have always clearly stated that my concerns with iraq and the outcome of this are national security.  i have stated and asked the question, have we not created a moral obligation to see this through??  let him train our soldiers over there and stay there where he can be of some use.

i don't care if the mother fucker is the virgin mary and from france......he has questionable past affiliations.  it is interesting how for gunnit everything comes down to the color of ones skin.  this is why the dems are floundering as we speak.  contrary to all of their lofty words of equality, dems/libs/gunnit see everything and relate to everything according to color, gender, gender id........in short they lie to themselves and the public.

Nelson Mandela is also considered a terrorist by the State Department.

The United States no longer considers the African National Congress a terrorist group. But because it was designated as such by the South Africa’s long-discredited apartheid regime, its current and former members still show up on America’s travel and terrorism watch lists.

Until recently, State Department officials preferred to grant ANC members waivers for travel to the United States on a case-by-case basis. They feared a more permanent exemption would open the floodgates to similar requests by other former terrorist groups. But that objection apparently now has been wisely dropped.
