Jackson Statement: For any harm or hurt that this hot mic private conversation may have caused, I apologize. My support for Senator Obama_s campaign is wide, deep and unequivocal. I cherish this redemptive and historical moment.

_My appeal was for the moral content of his message to not only deal with the personal and moral responsibility of black males, but to deal with the collective moral responsibility of government and the public policy which would be a corrective action for the lack of good choices that often led to their irresponsibility.

_That was the context of my private conversation and it does not reflect any disparagement on my part for the historic event in which we are involved or my pride in Senator Barack Obama, who is leading it, whom I have supported by crisscrossing this nation in every level of media and audience from the beginning in absolute terms._

The Democrats want black people to suffer. That’s the only way they can win elections. Never mind lifting them up and giving them an equal opportunity to succeed, let’s just throw welfare at them and rant and rave over how Republicans are racists (even though the Democrats have been playing the race card most of the time in this election).

Republicans – good Republicans, anyway – want a color blind society. Democrats want class and race warfare.

it's not that dems want blacks to suffer, they need blacks, gays, women, aged etc....to view themselves as victims.  mr d is right, the responsibility of the individual is never really considered and their savior is never themselves.....their savior can only be dem/lib socialist programs.  now as for our soldiers in iraq that is a different story.  the dems are clearly invested in the defeat of their country in this theatre for both political and ideological reasons.  of course soldiers will and must die, and the dems/libs will dutifully wring their hands and feign grief, all the while doing everything and anything to support those killing our troops and making this engagement more difficult to win.

Well that's one way of looking at it. It could be that the man still has some fire in him and the complaint was real. Or maybe not...

Watched the video again. Jackson is visibly irritated. The guy he's talking to is painfully aware of the camera but Jackson doesn't seem to care. Now whether it's sincere disgust with Obama or just jealousy i don't know.
