And the poor and the middle class get jobs from wealthy people….
wealth is not inherently evil, but there is an uberwealth class that exists now that never did before. perhaps this is just the evolution of our economy, but history shows that when any small group of people obtain great, disproportionate power, destruction is not far behind.
I cannot find the numbers right now, but I posted them several months ago. If you look at the numbers – the increase in the “uber wealthy” have not create more poor in America. It is the poor class that has shrunk. The middle class has stayed roughly the same.
Since we are not on a gold standard, and money is what we agree it is, the economy is not a fixed pie. For me to gain a dollar you do not have to lose a dollar.
i don't disagree with that...the 'poor' in this country general still live very well by world standards. there are those who suffer in america, and i don't mean to minimize their plight, but generally they have it pretty good.
regardless of the number of poor and middle class, it remains that you have a very very concentrated class of wealth which has an enormous amount of money, and thus power. this goes back to the oil issue and the saudi's sovereign fund to buy controlling interest in the fortune 500. it's not a good thing at all.
