Egalitarianism is simply absurd

Why do you rally so enthusiastically behind perversion?

I have to agree with Pukka.

One does not have to support perversion, a somewhat subjective term, to believe that the Government has limited to no interest in regulating perversion.  Of course I imagine that many libertarians and liberals actually do support perversion!

The question is fallacious, for it assumes the conclusion (i.e., that libertarians support perversion) in its premise.

No, it does not.

I have not assumed that libertarians support perversion. That's kind of why I asked, gentle readers.  Wink I have, however, observed their behavior at any suggestion (sometimes imagined in John Smith's case) that homosexual behavior is perverse and that gay marriage is a ludicrous sham. Now, I understand that some of us do not have a sense of humor when it comes to their belief systems (i.e. they can dish it...) but lighten up, would you?

"turned away from what is right or good, corrupt, improper, incorrect".  i would say that this is exactly what libertarian policy looks like in actuality.

Why?

Could it rather be that libertarians (some) believe in what is right, good, and whatever, but still feel that it is not within the preview of the Government to mandate and referee?

I think that you are correct.  Libertarians are a large and varied group but they believe in government from small to none.

I believe in limited government.  That has nothing to do with small.  Just limited to what the Constitution allows for the federal government.

You are both mistaken.

Anarchy is the total absence of mandatory power hierachies. In other words, no government. Most also dislike the corporate model of business, but not all. Emphasis is on "mandatory" rather than "power structure".

Libertarianism is the polar opposite of "authoritarianism", and seeks an extremely limited role for government at all levels. Over-simplified, limited to only what is required for gov to protect the rights of individuals.

Mr. D - Your initial question was as stupid a thing as you've ever posted here.
