I disagree. Two of my gay friends want to get married so that they can receive the same rights as my wife and I. Homosexuality is already accepted in this country, if it was not, "I kissed a girl" would not be charging up the charts. My point is that "pop-culture" dictates acceptance in this country.
What rights exactly? You can get most rights with a civil union or by forking over the requisite legal fees.
The "rights" in question are not rights but incentives to raise a family. Gays insist on calling them "rights" to make their cause more sympathetic. No one is falling for it. Indeed, our Black brothers get quite upset when gays take up the banner of civil rights.
That's interesting. I hadn't thought of marriage as an incentive to raise a family in today's world. Is the stigma of illegitimacy stopping anyone from procreating? The ease with which the government allows marriage and divorce doesn't promote a stable environment for raising kids.
