They had to move the Rally for the Republic from the 15,000-seat Williams Arena in St Paul to the 18,000-seat Target Center in Minneapolis. In less than 24 hours, the Ticket Bomb for the Rally for the Republic will begin and tickets will go on sale. Will you purchase a ticket and join us in Minneapolis on September 2?
Tickets will cost a very patriotic $17.76, so we hope you will bring the whole family. Can you image the reaction from the political establishment and media if we are able to sell out the Target Center?
Already the media is calling our office interested in the potential of our event. Over 1,500 news stories were written about Ron Paul alone when we announced our rally in Minneapolis two days ago.
Let’s send a loud and clear message to the media again this Friday @ 10AM CST when tickets go on sale! Tell them that we will not go unnoticed. Liberty will prevail, and our republic will be restored.
Please make every effort you can to be in Minneapolis. This will be the greatest event Dr. Paul has ever attempted.

Good for Dr. Paul! He is an honorable man and has been done like dirt by the GOP establishment-just like Ralph Nader has been done by the Democrats. A real victory for non-conformist insurgency! Vive la revolucion!

I like some of Paul's ideas. I keep getting contrary answers when I ask for his position on the border.

Nah, Grumpy just thinks anyone who like Dr. Paul must be a loon. He thinks that because it is easier than admitting that he was the ONLY fiscal conservative on a republican ballot that featured a bunch of fiscal idiots (with the possible exception of Romney, who so dislikes change that he wasn't willing to go far enough).
Why won't he admit this? Because he doesn't like Paul's foreign or social domestic policy, so he needs to find a reason to dislike him.
The problem, of course, is that Grump is on record as saying the pivotal issue is the Court, and Paul would certainly be nominating judges far LESS activist-minded and far MORE conservative than McCain could ever manage.

I finally got off my virtual duff and looked up his policy positions. His immigration stance is a good one. Also, his take on the Civil Rights Act of 1964 is both ballsy and right on.
Paul wrote of his opposition to the Civil Rights Act of 1964:
It "not only violated the Constitution and reduced individual liberty; it also failed to achieve its stated goals of promoting racial harmony and a color-blind society. Federal bureaucrats and judges cannot read minds to see if actions are motivated by racism. Therefore, the only way the federal government could ensure an employer was not violating the Civil Rights Act of 1964 was to ensure that the racial composition of a business's workforce matched the racial composition of a bureaucrat or judge's defined body of potential employees. Thus, bureaucrats began forcing employers to hire by racial quota. Racial quotas have not contributed to racial harmony or advanced the goal of a color-blind society. Instead, these quotas encouraged racial balkanization, and fostered racial strife."[232]

What do you guys think of this? Would this be effective at all? How would this not violate the sovereignty of other nations? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Political_positions_of_Ron_Paul#Letters_of_marque_and_reprisalPaul, calling the September 11, 2001, attacks an act of "air piracy", introduced the Marque and Reprisal Act of 2001. Letters of marque and reprisal, authorized by article I, section 8 of the Constitution, would have targeted specific terrorist suspects, instead of invoking war against a foreign state.[18] Paul reproposed this legislation as the Marque and Reprisal Act of 2007.[57] He voted with the majority for the original Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Terrorists in Afghanistan.[58]
Historically, the United States issued Letters of Marque against the Barbary pirates, and commissioned privateers to attack the shipping of countries with whom the United States was at war. These letters of Marque were typically issued on a per-voyage basis, and some 1700 of them were granted by the congress during the American Revolution.

You hire people from the country where they are hiding. Or you simply tell the country in question that they are with you or against you (hahaha!!!).

I kind of like the idea but the sovereignty question is a hard one to get passed.

Yeah, I guess hiring some Arab crazies to kill some other Arab crazies could work. We need beefed up intelligence services.
