What Huh How can this be Huh Every soldier interviewed by ABC was either for Obama or Clinton instead of John W. McBush. They must hate america!

ABC's Martha Raddatz asked American soldiers in Iraq what issues are most important to them when looking at the presidential candidates.

A look at the key political issues for U.S. soldiers in Iraq.Though the military is not supposed to engage in partisan political activity, these soldiers spoke out about their personal endorsements, and their opinions are likely to matter. In 2004, 73 percent of the U.S. military voted for a presidential candidate, and officials believe it may be even higher this time around.

PFC Jeremy Slate said he supported Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., because of his stated intention to pull out of Iraq right away.

"That would be nice," Slate said, "I'd like to be home, yea."

Soldiers can talk about their political preferences during an election year.  They cannot campaign for a particular candidate while in uniform or in the work place.  These soldiers didn’t violate any rules.

REALLY?  I totally thought Spongebob was a McCain'er.  Must have been the white collar shirt, tie, and neatly pressed shorts that threw me off.

Or that McCain went to the Naval Academy and served his country in Vietnam?

Or that he was defending this country while Obama was smoking pot and doing blow?

Or when Hillary was going around trying to get the illegals amnesty to add to the Clinton constiuency?

You don't think the soldiers interview for ABC's article were ignorant of mccain's military record do you Huh

I respect mccain's service to this country ... but reality check ... being a pow does not make one a hero. It means he was a lousy pilot who got shot down and was able to survive a horrific ordeal.

You summed that up pretty well.  Works for you and the liberals.  Obviously you dont respect his service otherwise you would not have made that statement.  Some service to your country is always better than none.  ANY SOLDIER WHO SERVES THIS COUNTRY IN A WAR IS A HERO.

The media is extremely liberal, a pack of red diaper doper baby kool-aid drinkers, obama is their hero.  They cherry picked these soldiers. The reality is that most are for McCain.   Grin Fox is as bad as MSNBC.  Angry

I think, in general, anybody who serves this country is a hero, period.  Military or not.  However, we should hand it to soldiers for putting their asses on the front line.  That is, without a doubt, above and beyond what most Americans are capable of, and deserves respect.

However, I think it's rude to suggest who deserves more respect than others.  It should be unconditional and universal.  Respect is learned, not earned--because if everybody is required to earn it, then nobody is capable of it.  Now I'm gonna show my respect by playing America's Army, which the military distributed freely to gamers to promote the military.  I'll give a review soon in the "America's Army" topic.

Hey, if the game makes you want to join the Army let me know.  I will hook you up with a recruiter and we can share the buddy-fucker bonus.  http://www.2k.army.mil/bonus_program.htm

Why would a network air such a story? Hmmmm
We know there are almost 2 million troops in the Military.
Will ABC interview the other 1,799,998 soldiers?
How much did ABC pay these guys? Hmmmm

Respect is learned and then it is earned...So you are saying if a soldier is on the front line he deserves more respect than a pilot? A pilot is smarter than a front line soldier thats why hes a pilot.  He can land a jet plane on a moving carrier in the ocean.  A front line soldier deserves the respect for putting his neck on the line...but doesn't the pilot have the ground soldiers back (air strike)?
