Egalitarianism is simply absurd

He's a great military historian and classicist. He is certainly one of my favorites. He is also an outspoken conservative. As a matter of fact, he started contributing to National Review before I cancelled my subscription (good mag but I was getting bored with it). Anyone heard of him?

Yes. Carnage and Culture and The Wetsern Way Of War are two of his titles. If you're into military history and/or the Classical World give him a try.

I've heard of this site but I never visited it. Looks good.

They do a pretty good job with balance of points of view.

You know thats why I cancelled National Review. I want a more balanced perspective. NR doesn't even have a good balance of rightist perspectives. I've been thinking about the Economist. My buddy subscribes and I had the opportunity to leaf through some issues here and there. I like it.
