I would like to hear something positive about this country as all I get from this board is negatives. If I didnt know better, i'd think you all hated the USA and EVERYTHING it stands for.  Angry  No wonder the terrorists find us so repulsive and want us dead. All they have to do is read one of these boards and they are convinced they are doing the right thing.  Roll Eyes

That we fight so that others can be free.
That we do not stand for terrorism.
That we attempt to feed the hungry and house the poor.
That we are the land of opportunity.

What's good about the US
The world is attacking Americans and they say they hate Americans.
That tells me that Americans are the most admired, respected, emulated and feared people on planet earth.
Americans are all alone on top of the world!
Just the way I like it.   Cool

Putting aside the fact that this site is called PolitiRant, do you think we'd spend this much time agonizing over the future of our country if we didn't love it?

Can you say something positive about the US without saying how much better Canada is? Cheesy

I never hear anything from Liberals that indicates they care about America.

Here ya go.  Enjoy. Cheesy

I love that it's the best damn country in the world.  I love that we are most capable of changing things in the world.  I love that we can all get along even if we hate each other's guts.  I love that we have the freedom to hate each other's guts, but that we'd rather thrive on learning from each other.  I love that things are mostly balanced, and that we keep each other in check.  I love that most of us understand a higher power, although we disagree on what face it has.

I love that I have a house, a vehicle, my health, good food, freedom, and a job to support those and the things between.  I am proud to pay taxes because I know I'm giving back to the government and community that serves me.  I am proud of my country's military for doing their job and risking their lives--especially of the ones who have sacrificed life and limb, and of the ones who fight despite their opposition of the war.  But I love them all equally for doing it.

I love that we are civil as a whole, and that we try to encourage that civility for the entirety of the USA.  I love that we can always make ourselves better and learn from our mistakes, and that our constitution was geniusly crafted to allow and encourage that.

I love that this country has an interesting history.  I love that we rebelled and prospered against unrighteous movements, and it always made us stronger and smarter.

Oh, and the beautiful land!!!!!!!!  I feel most lucky living in Minnesota; it feels like we have a little bit of everything here.  We also have some of the most interesting weather in the world; it's usually the hub of our conversations.

I love the people. The good hearts of the midwest, the grassroots of the south, the freedom of the west and the strong minds of the east.  And I love that we are most technologically driven, and that we are using it to better our lives--and counterbalancing to not let it take over our lives.  I love our adaptiveness and our common wealth, which is among the best in the world.

I'm running out of ideas of what to love.  Anyways, I love my country dammit.   Cheesy  Don't make me have to repeat this again.

When I left the Navy in 78 .. I had visited more countries than I had states. It was a great experience to see the world. I saw some wonderful things and met some wonderful people of many nationalities, but it also made me realize that no other country in the world enjoys the freedoms that we have and while all these places I visited where nice to visit, there was no other place I wanted to live.
