<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/2X9LypdiQFo" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/v/2X9LypdiQFo</a>

I'm not up on the economy,
don't know much about industry.
Really can't explain the price of gas,
or what has happened to the middle class.

But I know that one and one is two,
and if I could be just like you,
what a wonderful world this would be.

Do we really want four more years of the same old tune?

Egalitarianism is simply absurd

Economics is something most politicians do not understand as well as they should.

Americans don’t understand economics because the public school system does not teach it.  If Americans were economic literate our government would not get away with its lavish spending.

Hear, hear, Great Peter!

Our college and university schedules are replete with sections of remedial english and math. Our children can't balance a check book, do a basic home budget or even answer a simple essay question in complete sentences. This is truly disgraceful and one of the many reasons for our ongoing economic decline.

Another fine point, sir.

It isn’t enough to “teach” economics.  Economics is highly politicized and students should get an overview of all major economic schools of thought.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schools_of_economics  You will have to go down towards the bottom of the link to get to modern economic schools of thought.

How come you morons on the left perennially fail to comprehend that the rich only receive tax cuts because they received tax HIKES at a prior date?

That doesn't make it any less irresponsible to cut taxes while increasing spending.

True, and you will never hear me arguing to increase spending.  But to continue the whiny "tax cuts for the rich" mantra is disingenuous.

Did the "rich" shoulder a disproportionately large amount of the income tax burden before the Bush tax cuts? YES
Do the "rich" still shoulder a disproportionately large amount of the income tax burden after the Bush tax cuts? YES

What's the problem then (other than increased spending, but that's an independent issue with regards to tax rates)?

The "rich" are one minority liberal Democrats consciously dehumanize. Your average Democrat voter has no idea how truly poisonous class warfare is.

I couldn't agree more with that statement.  IMHO your statement is a lot more insightful than it seems to be on the surface.
