This may sound really weird to you guys. But I'm just wondering who you guys think would be a better President if they were alive today? George Washington or Abraham Lincoln?

Let me know what you think...Smiley

Egalitarianism is simply absurd

I think both would be thoroughly depressed by what modern America has become. They would be unable to perform their duties.

Jefferson would be crushed by the 24-7 media networks though  Undecided

coming up on HARDBALL..."Did TJ sleep with a slave?"

Matthews made his career on the Lewinsky thing, he would have a field day with this

Lincoln would suspend habeas corpus and throw Matthews in the pen.

And then have him executed for his Peace Corp activities.

I think Franklin D. Roosevelt would provide the leadership needed during times like these. Washington and Lincoln were fine presidents, but I have a soft spot in my heart for Roosevelt.

He relied less on government intervention than did his cousin.

If you mean the FDR of his first term, I completely agree with you. After that he became a tool of international high finance.
