It doesn't matter what they think. Hallmark is going to do whatever they want.

I'll bet these cards will become joke cards between friends far more frequently than between same sex lovers.

It's doubtful that same-sex unions can have much effect on marriage as a social institution. We live, to the extent the law allows, in a free society; and so one should be free to be miserable as one chooses, whether with a partner of the same sex or the opposite.

That is a good one  Cheesy

What ever happened to freedom of association? I believe that two people should be free to engage in any relationship they please as long as nobody is being hurt, and as long as they are not preventing others from enjoying the same right.

If you believe that it is the job of the federal government to sneak inside men's bedrooms to see if there are other men in there, you are a straight-up fascist.

Why not a communist?

This isn't about the right to marry and it never has been. It's about social acceptance and nothing else. Don't be so naive, John.

Where did I mention marriage, Mr. D?

Well, while we're at it: where in the Constitution gives the federal government the authority to legislate on marriage at all?

Far fewer people than you would imagine care what two men do behind closed doors. If you aren't talking about marriage then what are you talking about?

You already asked that question and I already answered it. Leave it to the states.

Today, the right-wing American Family Association (AFA) announced a boycott of Hallmark for its decision to start selling gay marriage greeting cards. AFA wants Hallmark to "stop promoting a lifestyle that is not only unhealthy, but is also illegal in 48 states." From the boycott petition:

We’ve all given or received Hallmark Cards – remember their slogan – "when you care enough to send the very best." But promoting same-sex marriage for profit is not the very best for families or our nation.

Hallmark is a private company obviously driven by greed. Let them know you do not appreciate Hallmark promoting a lifestyle which is illegal in 48 states. American Greeting Cards, Hallmark’s competitor, does not offer same-sex marriage cards.

Yeah ... that will show 'em AFA.
