To hell with global warming and world war 3; the Earth is eventually going to end anyways, right? Here's one scenario.
Right now, the Andromeda galaxy is on a head-on course for the Milky Way. The galaxies are moving towards each other at 400,000 km/h, and in 3 BILLION years scientists say they are probably going to collide. What does that mean?
Some say that since the stars actually have LOTS of distance between them that very few stars will collide with each other and the two galaxies will eventually settle into a new one. Others worry about the super massive black holes at the centers of each, and what will happen when they collide.
