China has more gold medals, though -- so I believe. It'll be one less if the IOC disqualifies that ching chong 14 year old cheater in gymnastics....

Some of these Eastern Europeans medal winners have been busted for doping.

The US will build it's lead and may catch China in gold.

Gold medals: China 48, US 31

China is now closing the totals gap faster than the US is closing the gold gap....
