In February this year, I brought out a book called THE 'g' FACTOR. It's about general intelligence ('g') and my beliefs that intelligence can be fairly measured and that our levels of intelligence, yours and mine, depend heavily on our genes. My book says that Asians - on average - appear smarter than Whites, who themselves are smarter than Blacks. Okay, so there's an overlap between the average IQ's of Blacks, Whites and Asians. And yeah, 16% of African-Americans have a HIGHER IQ than the average American White.

Yes I have. Charles Darwin and Francis Galton, the founder of eugenics, were cousins. Darwin's son organized a World Eugenics Conference in 1912.

Considering the uses to which some of these ideas were put I can understand someone's reluctance to face the reality of racial differences. On the other hand, remaining willfully ignorant and basing state policy on what is demonstrably false should frighten us more.

Now that we've mapped the genome, I imagine the pursuit of eugenics is no longer limited to race. Has reliance on external characteristics like skin color been replaced by genetic testing?

Over 99% of the time self-identification (i.e. you call yourself White, Black etc.)  corresponds with the results of genetic testing

The problem with eugenics is that it has always been used to benefit the superior to the disadvantage (or death) of the inferior.  It would suck to be put into the latter box.

Another way to look at it is that eugenics is a path to a more rational and humane world. As a social fascist, I consider Goldberg a neocon hack.

Well, for a start, emphasize positive eugenics-selective breeding of the intelligent and civilized. This could be the first step towards a rational and humane world.
