I have no idea what possessed these people to appoint him Senate Majority Leader. We need a strong, determined individual to stand up to the Republicans, and instead we got a spineless little Mormon twit from Nevada. No wonder they can’t get anything done.

We need a Russ Feingold, or maybe even a Joe Biden. I would have thrown my support behind Christopher Dodd in this but he’s gotten himself in deep, deep trouble.

Feingold is one of the few honorable people in the Senate. That man won’t accept a hot dog from a lobbyist.

You’re right, he is quite liberal. But he has a stronger record of bipartisanship than Obama. The legislators that worked with Obama in Illinois have said that he didn’t do much with Republicans during his time in the State Senate.
