Recently there have been many cases of honor killings performed by extremist Muslim men in the United States. One man killed his wife because she got a job. Another killed his daughter because she started dating.

Such terrible acts have made me reconsider my position on the death penalty. I’m generally opposed to it, but whenever I hear of stuff like this, it makes my blood boil.

What are your thoughts on this? There’s going to be a special on Faux News about it this weekend, I believe.

There have also been several cases in Europe. Then again, all cultures are equal and diversity is our strength, right?

Europe is bending over backwards to conform to Muslim customs. Wasn’t there a story recently about UK police putting little booties on their dogs so they wouldn’t offend Muslims?

I’m all for religious freedom in the United States. After all, it’s protected in the Constitution. But acts like this – and the rape of children in fundamentalist Mormonism – are unacceptable. Instead of targeting the real criminals in the United States, the federal government is more worried about pot-smokers and lonely old men who go to prostitutes.

you can say its culturally acceptable but i still believe they are psychos. these are the people who if they grew up in our culture would probably be murders. only difference is how the state responds to their psychosis. there it is tolerated, here they would be in jail at the least.

I seriously doubt they are insane. I agree, they would most certainly be considered murderers and indeed are murderers in our eyes.

criminally insane? i guess psycho is the wrong word...but there are mothers and fathers in our country, born here, white people, black people, etc marginal christians who kill their kids. i do think you need to be insanse to do something like that. you would think that kind of deviance would be weeded out

These sinister acts certainly deserve the death penalty.

commee i know what you're trying to say, that from our perspective this is wack and we have more than a few home grown wackos.  but you make mr d's point.  in their world and culture this is not wack.  it is either promoted, accepted or the state just never gets around to prosecuting.  "mothers and fathers in our country, white people, black people, marginal christians who kill their kids", are not protected, they are prosecuted and in the most enlightened states put to death.  say how about a shout out to marginal secularists who kill their kids??  was the christian mention an attempt to defend the religion of peace?

Multiculturalism will be the destruction of America. If our federal government doesn’t get its priorities straight soon, we’ll be breaking our backs to be nice to Muslims and Mexicans. Spanish class and Muslim prayer will be mandated in our public schools so we don’t offend anyone. It’s disgusting and it has to stop.

nah i just get tired with the crap on this board tying everything to either socialism or muslims (but then when it's pointed out that the US supported san salvador has a higher murder rate, there is no acknowledgment...just hypocracy)

i have more an issue with the government states that do not prosecute this kind of shit. there will always be crazy fucks in every country who kill people and use religion as an excuse.

these are the same guys who say religion doesn't lead to war, because in their mind the ONLY religion is roman catholicism  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

personally i hate these middle eastern governments.

saudi arabia, which is one of the worst, is pretty much entirely supported by the United States. i'm not sure that some of these countries couldn't have a better government without US interference. heck even the palestinians, when given the chance, embraced democracy and got hamas to move toward the middle and mellow the f out.

truthfully i don't really care too much about what goes on over there, i've made my feelings about energy independence and getting complete out well known on these boards.
