The only thing I can think that is wrong with our culture is that people are so defensive (and therefore become offensive) of their culture.  It is  quite an identity crisis that we would do well to overcome as individuals, not as a fascist group of culture haters.

i have more an issue with the government states that do not prosecute this kind of shit. there will always be crazy fucks in every country who kill people and use religion as an excuse.

these are the same guys who say religion doesn't lead to war, because in their mind the ONLY religion is roman catholicism 

the subject is honor killings and the perpetrators are muslim.  why is so difficult for you to acknowledge that a substantial number of these practitioners of the religion of peace are just savages.

In 1921 the priest of St. Paul's Cathedral in Birmingham, AL, Father Coyle, married the daughter of a Methodist minister to a Catholic (a Hispanic by the way). Enraged, the minister shot and killed Father Coyle. The minister was defended at his murder trial by none other than Hugo Black who got him off with the insanity plea. No doubt this was an honor killing.

Not to get too far off the "subject", but what, say you, is the difference between killing for your country and killing for your religion?

And another thing--these people are not killing everyday Americans.  They are killing members of their family.  If you hate muslims so much, then why does that bother you?  Would not you rather just let them have at it and decrease their own population?  That would make so much more sense coming from somebody like you.  Kill them, kill them twice--right?

It probably was not an honor killing in the sense that this thread is concerned.  Muslims see it as a family disgrace for a member to take certain actions (or have them committed upon them as in the case of rape).  Since the family’s honor is tainted it must be redeemed through the death of the offender. 

I think that the minister was just extremely prejudiced.  He killed the person of the "wrong" religion.  He did not totally purge the problem as if he saw his family’s honor tainted- that would require different murder- that of his daughter.
