Just how much Senate experience does Barack Obama have in terms of actual work days? Not much.

From the time Barack Obama was sworn in as a United State Senator, to the
time he announced he was forming a Presidential exploratory committee, he
logged 143 days of experience in the Senate. That's how many days the
Senate was actually in session and working.

After 143 days of work experience, Obama believed he was ready to be
Commander In Chief, Leader of the Free World, and fill the shoes of Abraham
Lincoln, FDR, JFK and Ronald Reagan.

In contrast, John McCain's 26 years in Congress, 22 years of military
service including 1,966 days in captivity as a POW in Hanoi now seem more
impressive than ever. At 71, John McCain may just be hitting his stride.

how does being a pow prepare you for president?  Huh

should we limit the field of presidential candidates so that only those who stayed in the hanoi hilton are eligible?

i applaud mccain for his service but i don't see why suddenly that is part of his qualification

especially when all the republicans had no issue with dubya dodging his service and mocking kerry for his

this will no doubt piss you guys off no end but might a better officer / soldier have not been caught in the first place? just a question

Conley-

I love how people say the applaud McCain for his service.  On that alone he is better qualified than Obama. He made the ultimate sacrifice for his country.  Obama has done almost nothing!  He hasnt even served a term as senator.

McCain has military experience which makes him better suited to be commander in chief.  Niether candidate is ideal, however McCains qualifications far exceed those of Obama.

You cannot change a country with great speeches alone.  All that Obama has proved to me is he can start a movement, but can he finish it?

Again we have to hope that the electoral can make the right decisions and that McCain comes out on top.

Ya'll seem to forget that he graduated 894th out of a class of 896. He crashed two planes and then got shot down.

I applaud the fact that he served, which is something all you chickenhawks on this board have NOT done. But after he came back, he realized that he was never going to advance up the ranks to admiral. Not because he was a POW ... but because he wasn't good enough.

Haven't we had enough of "C" mentality students as prezident Huh
