Egalitarianism is simply absurd

« on: July 20, 2008, 12:16:20 AM »

We are there. We are not leaving any time soon. You are a traitor if you do not desire a US victory. Understood? What's that? You thought the war was a bad idea? Too bad. It happened anyway. Kinda like the world wars. Pull yourself together and support the effort. There is no excuse for not supporting your people. Bush is a moron? He is far more intelligent than your average American  slob. Deal with it. He also has a much better education than your average American slob. Deal with that as well.

The war happened. Support the state, scumbags.

Sheesh..my apologies to all. The sentiments expressed are real, however.

traitors are people who blindly follow a failed idealogy.

speaking out against a failed idealogy is patriotism.

traitors are those who out of a visceral hate for this president, cheerlead for the enemy and use the deaths of soldiers as pawns to score political points.  traitors smear the president, this govt, industry and our troops for political gain in a time of war.  traitors are those who embrace a 9-10 world view deliberately choosing to ignore the costs of appeasement/acquiescence throughout the 90s.  traitors regale their past service and belittle service today. Technically a traitor must commit treason.    How does being against a war or any military involvment constitute treason?

Now I can only assume you thought it was "traiterish" when some high ranking GOP members of congress spoke out against the war in Kosovo in the 90's?   Trent Lott and Delay to name a few.

i was against the war from the start. i do dislike our current president. now that we are in iraq, i would prefer that we crush all the al queda there (which appeared to increase after we invaded), secure an oil supply for our nation (i know we can't do this but i would like to have the oil reserves pay for the war as we were told it would), and end major combat operations once things are settled, with a defensive force still in place to continue to protect our interests. perhaps this makes me a traitor in the eyes of some, maybe it makes me a warmonger in the eyes of others. i am just for making the best of a bad situation.

peter has gotten me thinking a lot about alcohol energy. it's so true as it was said in the presentation he linked:

WE ARE FUNDING THE WAR AGAINST US WITH EVERY GALLON OF GASOLINE WE PURCHASE

so i guess we are all guilty of treason  Angry

Gentlemen, I do not care if you were against the war. Let me try this again.

We are there. We are not leaving any time soon no matter who is elected POTUS. If you desire your nation to lose in Iraq, you are a traitor. The war is happening. It is win or lose. Furthermore, we are winning in Iraq and I am stunned that this may actually bother some of you here.

Right.

Some people are so in love with this war, yet they do nothing physically to support it and then they call everybody else traitors.  Roll Eyes  How convenient, and spitefully stupid.

D-wang doesn't care about war, nor his country in a time of war.  Neither does Grump.  They just like the conflict, and the excitement of it.  And their only defense for the war is to bash everybody else for not supporting it.

It makes them feeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeel good.

On the contrary, you guys are traitors for pissing on your fellow Americans because of their views.

And yes it DOES matter who is elected president.  Sorry to tell you, BO is going to win the election for POTUS and this war is going to end like it should have long ago.

 Smiley

(Doesn't the smiley face just piss you off SOOOOOOO much more?)

We will be in Iraq throughout the term of the next president.

Do you desire a US victory or defeat in Iraq, Spunkloaf? Please do not evade. Just answer the question.
