this is a fight from which we cannot run children.  the dems/libs of this nation have done everything in their power to make this fight unwinable, deny the success of the surge and now choose defeat when victory is clearly at hand.  this rhetoric has emboldened our enemies and attacks the morale of our troops.  you (gunnit, commee, lebo) are just the mindless echo of the murthas, shumers, pelosis, clintons, obamas etc of the world.  commee, as the surge has taken effect and iraq has become obviously winnable, the attitudes of voters are shifting.  lebo, we are there, deal with that reality and support winning this engagement by demanding that we win this engagement.  all of you, the men serving in iraq are soldiers, do not treat them as victims.  this is war and men will die.

There is no defining point of victory in this war.  People know nothing of what is going on (and apparently neither do the commanders), and THAT is what has caused the unpopularity.  Nobody sees progress.  Yet at home, we see prices skyrocketing everywhere--starting with the pump.  It has already been the longest American war.  We got Saddam Hussein--which is commendable.  The "commander and chief" sluffed off Osama Bin Laden as unimportant, and un-catch-able.  Everything else is a blur to the average American, and they're just fed up.  It does not make them traitors.
When the people in charge of this war fail to show progress with the war they are fighting with our tax dollars, people lose confidence in it.  You know this, so quit turning it against the left side.

The left side is correct that people--on the left AND right--are sick of it.  So if you're gonna call people traitors and treasonous, you might as well have some consistency and blame your fellow righties as well.
The only thing the "patriotic" right has done is talk up the war (with nothing really exciting to report about it), and now that they can't do that anymore, it gets desperate with with patriotism thing.

That IS fascism.

no, people such as you and lebo, who act to undermine our ability to win this war are committing treason and are traitors by definition.  the fact that no one pays attention to you is in line with the old if a tree falls in the woods and no one hears it does it make a sound.  regardless your rhetoric is the echo of dems/libs, many who sit in positions of authority and use swill such as you to damage this nation.

 Cheesy
Rubbish.  You generalize the left way too much, and you talk as if lefties are nothing but pawns.
(As if you would not be just as gullible to the right side of politics)

The senseless and brutal Iraq War has damaged this nation-not opposition to it.

traitors are those who out of a visceral hate for this president, cheerlead for the enemy and use the deaths of soldiers as pawns to score political points.  traitors smear the president, this govt, industry and our troops for political gain in a time of war.  traitors are those who embrace a 9-10 world view deliberately choosing to ignore the costs of appeasement/acquiescence throughout the 90s.  traitors regale their past service and belittle service today. Wink

Technically a traitor must commit treason.    How does being against a war or any military involvment constitute treason?

Now I can only assume you thought it was "traiterish" when some high ranking GOP members of congress spoke out against the war in Kosovo in the 90's?   Trent Lott and Delay to name a few.

On traitors, I think it was Dick Cheney, who had more important things to do when the nation called upon him.
(Like get a couple dui"?) Shrub was vacant most of his service. God knows where Rummy was. yep ,these are our patriots. Old men sending young men to a place, they would never go.--And miss Venezuela Still won!, on a balmy evening in downtown Vietnam!-
