I think I can safely assume that you support a nationwide ban on gay marriage. I could make the case that such a ban would violate the separation of church and state, but you would respond with something like, “There is nothing in the Constitution about the separation of church and state.” You are right about that, but there is something called the Free Exercise Clause, which accompanies the First Amendment…

roland's analysis goes something like this.....helms didn't play nice with sen braun, he opposed nominating judges on the basis of color and ran a campaign ad against affirmative action.  i have no idea whether helms was racist or not.  i can guarantee that any and all conservatives are openly addressed as racists by the left of this country. helms was a product of his times in much the same way that the rev wright is a product of his.  bo on the other hand is a product of these times and still spent the last 20+ years as a faithful member of a segregationist church; who's spiritual leader often spoke of white people and this nation in the most vile and racially divisive terms...i wonder if mr roland has found it necessary to examine the current record of the living at least as thoroughly as the past of the dead.   so why do homosexuals want to be called gay?   what's that about?   and lesbians, basically a pretty angry and equally ugly gaggle of mansters.....why aren't they called gay??  i ask you invis because you seem quite invested and informed on these pressing issues of the day.
