Because of the structure of the brain and the way it makes protein, SOME aspects of personality can be INFLUENCED by genetics--but genetics don't conquer the mental makeup of a person.

For instance, my dad and I are two very different people--yet I can't help but think in some of the same patterns as he does.  We are both very smart people, but very different socially.  I also acquired his short fuse.  It is something I am having a hell of a time trying to deal with.

But it also makes you wonder--is it genetics that makes our minds similar in those fashions, or my upbringing and observations of his actions in conduct of my own?

Why is homosexual behavior destructive?   I don't see it as that.

Wouldn't that be considered unhealthy if it was female's anus as well?   Where is all the outcry there?

Environment plays a role, no doubt. Studies of twins that grew up separated, however, strongly suggest a strong genetic link. In other words, they don't just look the same.

Look, it's the old nature vs. nuture argument. Both play their role. I think that our society has been afraid to acknowledge just how much of are being is predetermined to some degree.

Actually, I never had interest in the prom.  Bunch of horny snobs spending graduation money on limos and dresses.  The school also charged the students an arm and a leg to participate in it.  Glad I never fell for it.
