what do you think of what Texas is doing concerning the compound children? I think its a little overkill myself. This should have been dealt with on an individual basis if they thought there was abuse. Now what a mess.  Angry

They should raid every single compound they know about. You can't take any chances in this case.

This is another example of the government acting in a fascist manner.  The search authorization was based upon a lie.  If we accept the government seizing children in this situation what children are going to be seized next?  The Texas authorities should just come out of the closet and put on their brown shirts and jack-boots.

One of the few appropriate actions of government is to protect children.

The compound at El Dorado is nothing more than a chamber of horrors designed to promote and facilitate the rape of children.

I want those perverts OUT OF MY STATE!

i would hope that no one participating on this site wants to see/allow children to be abused in any fashion.  still, peter is absolutely right in stating that the authorization to enter the compound was based upon a lie.  careful what  you wish for, whether it is universal health care or warrant less searches, much can be justified to "protect children."

You sound like a very dangerous person. Are you one of those perverts?  Grin

the governments not perfect, but they had to do something. government takes advantage of power only as much as people abuse their freedoms.

So if the government ever felt that the members of the Church of Satan were bringing their children up in a manner that the government (and majority of the people) disapproved of then you will be all for the State seizing children belonging to CoS members, right?

Thats not what was happening in those compounds; what they were doing is illegal.
You do make a good point regardless.

and bored thats completely irrelevant.... why dont you actually post about politics and government, or go to a chatroom.

I am not sure that we know what was going on in the compound.  The State certainly did not.  Their warrant was based on false information.  The 3rd Court of Appeals in TX just ruled that the CPS acted illegally in removing the children.

Just another reason why we have to get over our freedoms and suede everyone to believe the same thing, nothing. all this religulous (bill maher reference) bs is ruining our society, our planet.

everyone with half a brain knows how stupid religion, even as a concept, is... we need to get over ourselves and just focus on the things that matter and deal with life head on, not taking the "god will do us right" route.

Praying is almost as useful as hoping it were so.
