im not suggesting that growing up in the ghetto makes you 6'6" 300+ (obviously)

im saying that if you live in the ghetto you are more likely to pursue athletics because you perceive that as being the only way out and you've seen peers do it (even if remotely)

there are TONS of 6'6" 300+ white men ya know. both in and out of sports. look at the offensive linemen for any NFL team or college D1 school for that matter and you will see tall obese people. not sure what your point is.

lastly when i said people talk about black dominance in sports all the time i meant people in general, not howard cosell or jimmy the greek or whoever you are defending. i have heard whites and blacks both discuss the issue in a reasonable and intelligent manner. of course if you're like jimmy the greek and say "look at that little monkey run" or whatever it was he said then yes, you're going to get fired. that's life.

As a proportion of the total White population the number of large athletic types (tall, strong, fast) is much lower than in the African population. I agree, there is no shortage of White athletes but that is a moot point. Mr. D is strong and fast but his 140 lbs frame would not come off of a football field alive. Furthermore, Whites tend to play the same positions in football, do they not? QB, offensive line, sometimes tight end? To be sure, Whites have played in every position but they tend to fit into these roles much more frequently.

As for your sociological argument why don't the far greater numbers of poor Whites excel at sports the way "ghetto" Blacks do?

If I'm not mistaken, Jimmy the Greek was fired for saying that Blacks were bred to be bigger and stronger when they were a slave population. That is certainly plausible although I think Africans evolved this way over many milennia.

Europeans choose to invest their nations' wealth differently than Americans. They don't object to high tax rates for the most part.

Again, the happiest nations in the world are mostly White with some Asian states thrown in the mix. In part, this is due to the greater homogeneity of European nations. You can cite suicide stats all you'd like but Sweden come in at #7:
