Does anyone have experience editing Wikipedia? I would like to correct/expand an entry about a relative of mine. It's a very brief entry, but someone recently added a line which I think is misleading. I think this person has an agenda. Can I just create an account and add some details to this entry? I use Wikipedia as a resource all the time, but I guess I shouldn't be surprised that the more obscure the entry the less you can trust it...

You don’t have to create an account. Wikipedia allows anonymous edits.
Wikipedia is a good website overall. Sure, there are some questionable “facts” presented in some articles, but it’s better than nothing.

But people are always able to question those "facts" and put a note on the page asking for a source of information.

Yes, dumb ass, it is edited by EVERYBODY.
If you don't like what you see on there, fucking edit it--or else stop whining about it.

Wikipedia is the most extensive and up-to-date online encyclopedia. And it is balanced by everybody. It's as close to a perfect catalog of information as humanity can get. And it's brilliant.

I don’t use Wikipedia for research papers or anything like that. I read Wikipedia mainly for my own amusement. It is quite good if you want to get the basics of the Neo-Babylonian Empire. I did recently and it was a great reference.
