Push To Name Sewage Plant After Bush

Quote
(AP) A measure seeking to commemorate President Bush's years in office by slapping his name on a San Francisco sewage plant has qualified for the November ballot.

The measure certified Thursday would rename the Oceanside Water Pollution Control Plant the George W. Bush Sewage Plant.

Supporters say the idea is to commemorate the mess they claim Bush has left behind by actions such as the war in Iraq.

Local Republicans say the plan stinks and they will oppose it.

It is amazing what some politicians will do to occupy themselves.

That right there is a true statement regardless what side of the aisle the politician sits.

Actually, this wasn't a politician driven effort. The idea was hatched at a local pub and regular people went out and got the signatures required to get the measure on the ballot.

Since democrats have an overwhelming majority in the community, the measure will probably pass with a landslide. What I think is really rich is that local republicans call this an *abuse* of power ... which is really ironic considering how dear leader has shredded our constitutional rights to keep us *safe*

Since all those constitutional rights have been shredded how safe do you feel making your positions known on the Internet?  I would think that the Brown Shirts should be coming for you at any moment- if you are right about Shrub and his shredder.

Actually, I get kinda scared by this.  But I have the balls to post anyways.

Unless your internet traffic is being routed through a terrorist harboring country, they should not be looking at what you post.

Public conversation has not been protected since WWII.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_ECHELON

All public communications get funneled through supercomputers for keywords.  The keywords will funnel flagged communications for future investigation.  If the government was as evil as Gaunt and others (such as the 9-11 for Truth frauds) believe, then they would already be "disappeared.”

Their very ability to WOW us with their brilliance on the Internet proves they are full of crap.

That seems about right.
