Over at Politico http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0808/12753.htmlthey've posted a rumor that Powell is being considered for the vp slot. Have any of ya'll heard anything about it I find it hard to believe that after refusing to endorse mcsame, they he would accept it.

Well, Biden knocked Obama during the primaries. Stranger things have happened.

I wish Powell had run for president. Think he could win. Oh, I'm not home still in NC, went to Myrtle Beach, very nice. Am fixing to go home the 31st. I am so glad obama chose biden, I was afraid it would be hillary Powell would be a great choice for VP.

I'm sure McCain would love Powell as his VP nominee. There's no way Powell would accept.

Powell is an internationalist who loves diplomacy. Little Mac should make him Sec of State or UN ambassador should he stumble into the White House.

He may get high poll ratings now- just as Obama did when he was fresh and unknown. Once a politician’s views and policy positions are known their numbers drop.

Once a politician’s views and policy positions are known their numbers drop. beyond just views i think powell's worst poll would be far above these two jokers. i'm not even sure of obama's views and policy postions are...mccain's i'm only slightly more aware of. i think powell if motivated would crush these two, but he would be at risk to run a disinterested campaign like right said fred

The only mystery is how much they will drop as his policy views become public.
