The New York Times -- Obama "closely linked" to ethanol interests: Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama "is running as a reformer who is seeking to reduce the influence of special interests. But like any other politician, he has powerful constituencies that help shape his views. And when it comes to domestic ethanol, almost all of which is made from corn, he also has advisers and prominent supporters with close ties to the industry at a time when energy policy is a point of sharp contrast between the parties and their presidential candidates

Well at least he didn't flip-flop on his support like McSame did with drilling in ANWR and off the coast of florida.

You do know that at one time McSame opposed off shore drilling and in ANWR don't you  Huh But now that he's trying to pander to voters, he's changed his opinion.

Thats been my point. McCain supporters know that he has been flip flopping and probably will some more in the future. However, we do not deny this fact, we acknowledge that it exists unlike Democrats who regard flip flopping for Obama as changing his mind. Hypocritical?

I think a person is stupid who doesn't change their mind when faced with new information.

The only reason flip-flopping is such a big deal is that REPUBLICANS make it a big deal. Remember 2004?

weren't you posting current gas prices with your posts??  could it be that the realities/ramifications of today's gas prices have prompted little mac to reconsider??  we should already be drilling in anwr, off the coast of florida and any/everywhere else.  its a shame that it takes $4 a gallon gas prices to bring some sense to our energy policy.  gotta wonder what it will take for bo and dems/libs in general to wake the fuck up.

in the here and now little mac is closer to being right on energy and bo remains wed to the anti-capitalist income redistribution beliefs that are at the root of his energy policy.

To Democrats, it is unthinkable for a Republican to change his or her mind on an issue, but if a Democrat changes his or her mind, it’s perfectly okay. This is American politics. This is how it’s been for years. Deal with it.
