Then why doesn't the state prevent 80 year olds from marrying Huh Or sterile men/women Huh

In both cases they are *biological dead ends* ... but THEY are allowed to marry.

What interest does the state have in preventing normal, healthy relationships? As for childless couples, the state should not be forcing anyone to have children. It should, however, encourage reproduction at least at the replacement level.

On the other hand, the state has every interest in not legitimizing a perverse union of two men or two women. It has every interest in preventing the corruption of the most basic of social units. That might be why gay unions have never been legitimate in any human society. Indeed, societies much more open to homosexual behavior (ancient Greece, for instance, where such behavior was still often frowned upon contrary to the propaganda of homosexual activists) never considered the question of homosexual marriage. Why not?

Again, gay marriage is about social acceptance, not "rights". Stop kidding yourself.
It's all about a sustainable American society.  If it was overwhelmingly more advantageous for people NOT to procreate, America would cease to exist.  The tax advantages afforded to married parents are intended as an inducement to keep America populated with healthy, educated replacements.  For two fudge-packers or flat-cockers to presume that they have something to offer the nation through their legal union is a farce.  Not that I have anything against flat-cockers.

But this is your own speculation, and it is based largely off of your fear of homosexuals.

There is no other motive for people to want to restrict gay rights other than they do not like gays.  Their motives stem from religious or prejudice sources. nothing else.

There is not one un-biased person who would argue against gay rights.  Everybody else is fucked in the head, conditioned to hate people for no reason--or fabricated reason.

I like giving Spunkloaf the last word. What you always get is some self-righteous blather without even an attept to address your argument.  Grin

Do people have rights  - exclusively - so that they can "offer" something to "the nation"?  Because I seem to recall something about the pursuit of happiness being in there somewhere...

Good call.

No.  Americans are born to be soldiers. We can't have faggy men walking around.  Lesbians are just fine though. See, because THEY'RE only trying to make males excited and increase sexual drive.

No, the problem is that you don't like your PC programming tinkered with.

No, most lesbians are hideous.

Know this from personal experience, or what?  I've met some cute ones.  They are crazy though.

Keeping everything black and white is so much easier than having to deal with all kinds of gray areas. That's why its so much easier to be a neocon. No thought necessary; just march in the same direction as the rest of them.

I wonder how our good buddy Dick Cheney feels about his daughter. Is she a freak to him? Abnormal and worthless to the American Society? It has got to be a real problem for him at some level of his political self-awareness...

Keeping what black and white? What grey areas are there? Where are the neocons here?

She is certainly abnormal but hardly worthless.

When was the pursuit of happiness supposed to be given to someone? They have happiness. They choose to make a minority of themselves to remind themselves that they are different from everyone else.

it is my experience that all fine looking lesbians are actually bi-sexual and desirous of making a grumpy sandwich. Grin

People choose to be gay just as one choose to be in love, get married or even get divorced.
