McCain just lost it: he advocated for the government to take over delinquent mortgages to prevent foreclosures. A government solution is an Obama victory.

The format doesn't seem to be favoring McCain, as I had expected.

A third of the way done and definitely not the "game changer" (as the cliche goes) that McCain needs.

I shit my pants when McCain mentioned "freezing" all government programs except military and veteran affairs. How the hell could they do that?

Nope. And McCain is looking at his papers while Obama is talking, he is fidgeting, he is choking on his words, and his voice is very weak and meek. And he is not making very strong points, either. What's this about a $3,000,000 Planetarium Projector? McCain makes this thing sound like a regular projector, but a planetarium projector is an expensive piece of equipment.

i thought it bizarre that when they first introduced mccain immediately put his head down and started scribbling like mad instead of making eye contact w/ the audience and looking around the auditorium. i suppose he has a list of things he wants to bring up tonight and doesn't want to forget anything. i just thought it looked a little odd.

He (Juan) just made a good point about the bad economy and the effect of raising taxes.

They need to bring a man with an air horn in there to get them both to stop talking when their time is up.

The format of the debate seems to favor whoever answers second. Whatever claims they make are allowed to go unchallenged. Kind've shitty, IMO.

LOL. McCain says Obama opposed nuclear power, or that he "Says it needs to be disposed of properly, or something"

you're totally right, and i think that's true of all of the debates...it is a huge advantage to go second when brokaw surprisingly asked mccain who his treasury sec'y would be he had to stall to think about it, obama got the advantage of having time to ruminate on his response. he also claimed over a million people make their living off ebay? how in the world did he come up with that?
