An attack does not have to come from our ports or our boarder- consider this:
Al Qeada obtains a nuclear warhead from Iran and is able to place it on a short range missile, like a scud. Place the system on a merchant vessel and cover the weapon with a tarp.
Once off the coast of the North East US remove the tarp, set the SCUD to fire. Shoot a nuclear device into the stratosphere and have it detonate there. This will create an electromagnectic pulse that will destroy any unsheilded electronic device.
And with Mccain or Obama- you don't know what you are getting unless you want government control over your lives.
yeah that's a good point...though i dont think a SCUD can get that high, can it? i suppose the technology and guidance systems have improved in the last decade. regardless that is what our navy and coast guard is for and i believe that vessel would end up at the bottom of the ocean.
