She has been mocked for her religious beliefs, her accent-things a Democrat would not have to face.

She stole our Upper Midwestern accent.   Embarrassed

Shame on her! Wink

Here is an article on Annette Bening expressing respect for Palin. Ms. Bening is an Obama supporter, but opposes the treatment of Gov. Palin.

If Bening wants to hear Palin's views, all she really needs to start doing is paying attention...I dunno, maybe I'm being a jerk here, but it seems like Palin is getting more air time than anyone else in this election.  How anyone can say they need to hear her views, as if they don't have access to that information already, is bizarre to me.

if you believe in free markets and capitalism, why not let these journalism outfits report what they want?

i dont understand this constant whining. the new york times is liberal, fox news is conservative, it is what it is. these are private companies that are supported financially by their customers who want the news delivered with a liberal or conservative bend.

You are right. I just wish the news organizations would admit it.

OswaldTheOsprey

yes, that's true...

another point i'd make is that double standard seems to exist for palin versus the three men...when palin gets attacked she's being picked on but when mccain or obama gets slammed its not unexpected. i know the point has been made before but to me that is sexist. i think it's human nature for us all though, when we see a woman being attacked we are more likely to get upset than if a male career politician is the one being ridiculed.
really, when bo gets attacked its racism at play Grin

Did you read the article? She disagrees with Palin's views but respect her as a person. How hard is that to understand?

I agree, though.  Palin is an excellent person.  My step mom is a hockey mom.  Hockey moms are cool.  But let's face it, she is a nobody politician.  The attention she is getting is a testament to the way people vote on character rather than substance.  Palin is not the monster here, the people exploiting her are the monsters.

I did read the article.  It included the quote ""We really want to hear her views ... " which I find kind of amazing.  If this chick hasn't heard Palin's views yet, it's no ones fault but her own...

Possibly so. Still it is nice to see open mindedness on either side. It is a rare commodity.

I really don't think that we've heard anything from Palin concerning her own views, except maybe for her stand against abortion. All we've heard from her is what the Campaign has told her to say. I really do agree with those here who state that the problem is with those who are exploiting her for whatever political gains they may net.

I'll just bet that she wishes now that she had just said "no", when Johnny Mac asked her.

It happens to most if not all VP candidates.  It is the nature of the position.
