I am constantly amused over how John Edwards promotes himself as the candidate for the working man, when his actions constantly prove otherwise. Doesn’t he own an unnecessarily expensive mansion across the street from a goddamn trailer park?

Indeed, John Edwards knows the struggles of the working class. An Obama/Edwards ticket would be the most elitist ticket in American history. I have no doubt about it.

He said he would consider it, after he said he wouldn't consider it.  He's PERFECT for the job!!!   Grin

Obama won't make that mistake, while I like John and actually supported him before he left the race, some pundits believed Kerry's downfall was choosing John as his running mate.

I think Kerry's downfall was being Kerry.

Kerry and the Breck Girl (http://politicalhumor.about.com/library/images/blpic-edwardsbreckgirl.htm ) were too different to be good running mates.

Edwards has a tin ear politically-running as a champion of the poor while having $400.00 haircuts and $50,000.00 lecture fees and a huge mansion to boot is none too bright.

John Edwards ran for the Democratic nomination in 2004 and failed. John Edwards ran with John Kerry in the 2004 general election and failed. John Edwards ran for the Democratic nomination in 2008 and failed – miserably.

Why exactly would Barack Obama consider him to be his running mate?

It is very doubtful, IMHO, that Edwards is even on the longest of lists much less the short list.

John Edwards is a loser. Obama would be wise to pick Joe Biden or some other old white guy instead.
