Its odd how the Florida vote, or non vote, may once again determine the election as they did with bush. Wonder where we'd be as a nation today had the republicans not screwed Al gore out of the job?  Angry   A large number of Clinton supporters will not vote for Obama but will vote for McCain. Fewer obama supporters will not vote for Clinton, but most of his supporters are extreme leftys who would vote for a snake if it were a democrat. McCain has proved that he can work with democrats many times. VOTE MCCAIN 08!!!

Groceries have gone up according to USA Today.

Weekly food cost for a family of 2 in December 2000: $96
In December 2006: $165

Look at the price of diesel.  $4.16 a gallon I believe is the average.  Also look at the trend in ethanol production.

Ethanol has something to do with it, especially food because corn is in almost everything, but why is ethanol being produced? Huh

Don't answer that truthfully unless you plan on foiling your own point.

I am not sure what your point is.  Corn prices are going up around the world.  Transportation costs are one reason.

Ethanol production is another.

Supply and demand is a basic economic principal.  Using corn for fuel will drive up demand and drive down supply for corn as food.

http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/world/5713854.html
Mexicans feel the pain of record corn prices every day when they buy a staple of the national diet, the corn tortilla. Tortilla inflation has been severe enough to send citizens to the streets in protest.

http://biz.yahoo.com/ap/080403/corn_at_6.html
Corn prices jumped to a record $6 a bushel Thursday, driven up by an expected supply shortfall that will only add to Americans' growing grocery bill and further squeeze struggling ethanol producers.
***
Worldwide demand for corn to feed livestock and to make biofuel is putting enormous pressure on global supply. And with the U.S. expected to plant less corn, the supply shortage will only worsen. The U.S. Department of Agriculture projected that farmers will plant 86 million acres of corn in 2008, an 8 percent drop from last year.

Too many people on the planet--and we're too worried about preserving values and morals to worry about how we plan to support ourselves in the population-booming future.

God, whoever you are, help us!

Without the values and morals that you bemoan, the so-called population crisis that has you in a tizzy will be solved through mass murder and genocide.

Well then let's be glad that humanity is above that.
