What the hell ... it's only taxpayer money

As ailing Wachovia Corp. waits to see whether it will be acquired by Wells Fargo & Co. or Citigroup Inc. -- possibly with taxpayers paying the tab for hundreds of billions of dollars in bad loans -- some of the company's top brokers are preparing to depart Saturday for an all-expenses-paid cruise of the Greek Isles.

The weeklong trip for up to 75 employees of brokerage A.G. Edwards, which Wachovia acquired last year for nearly $7 billion, will also include spouses and significant others, said Teresa Dougherty, a Wachovia spokeswoman.

"This is one way that we recognize our top financial advisors," she said.

Damn no wonder they get a med cruise .... on the brink of bankrupcty and needing a bail-out, the NRCC gets an $8 million loan while other people can't get one.

The National Republican Congressional Committee, trailing its Democratic counterpart considerably in cash on hand, has secured an $8 million loan to spend on House races during the last few weeks of the campaign, according to sources.

The NRCC reported $14.4 million in cash on hand as of Aug. 31, compared to $54 million in the bank for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. As it did last cycle, the NRCC is procuring its loan from Wachovia Bank, sources confirmed.

spunk, how exactly did you get fucked over?

For one thing, my tax money will go to make up for these fuckers' mistakes instead of paying for things our country needs.

Second, the economy is going down the toilet.  Not just ours, but the whole world is suffering.  That's not good for anybody, my friend.

Third, I didn't get a say in whether my tax money went to bail out these fuck heads.  Some representatives chose for me.  And I will have to go to jail if I refuse to pay for it.

Fourth, I'm out of cigarettes.  And when I am out of cigarettes, everybody's guilty for something.   Wink

Are you assuming, once again, that I don't have a job?  Did you not give me advice just yesterday about how to assault bitchy farmer customers?

I still have not heard what you do for a living Grump, and I believe I have asked you about three times on these boards.

fourth, I know.  It's a horrible habit.  Glad you don't do it.

As for the fifth--"my friend", Cindy and John McCain did not invent the words "my friend".  OswaldTheOsprey did.  Wink
