RIP GOP

« on: April 22, 2008, 09:22:21 AM »

I set up an account at military.com several weeks ago to get some info regarding a reunion of a ship I was stationed on back in the 70's and as a result I've been getting emails from them every week or so. I had thought about unsubscribing from the email, but occasionaly they do send a link to an article that interests me.

Imagine my surprise this morning when the first article in the email said:

Bush Supports Increased GI Bill Benefits

wtf said I Huh I had read that georgie and mr. war hero opposed the GI Bill sponsored by Sen. Webb because it was TOO generous.

I clicked on the link, and my heart started beating again. It seems dear leader is supporting a bill introduced by Rep. Stephanie Herseth Sandlin (D-S.D) and the reason dear leader is supporting this one Huh

The administration's aim is not only to improve veterans' benefits in wartime but to derail a far more costly GI Bill reform package that Democrat Jim Webb (Va.), in just his second year as a senator, is shepherding toward likely enactment with tenacity and timely compromises.

Nothing says "We Support Our Troops" better than we appreciate your sacrifice, as long as we don't have to spend much money.

-- btw -- why are troop-hating democrats the ones writing legislation to increase benefits to our troops Huh

Well.......What did Webb, a prominent, vocal, and well-documented enemy of the President Of The United States include in that porkage which President Bush disagree with?
Put some substance in the thing, Br'er.
