I wish that inventors and car companies would put this new technology in larger vehicles and SUVs.  Also into tractor-trailers, trains, and planes.  Americans, at least a lot of them, have demonstrated that they don’t go for the very small cars.   

If there the vehicles with alternative fuel sources were affordable and attractive to Americans, people would buy them and you wouldn’t need government mandates to achieve environmental goals.

That car looks like it's top-heavy and it will rollover.
There will have to be billion dollar lawsuits suing the manufacturer. The tires can be blamed also, the tire manufacturer can be sued also.
Now, the cost of the car is twice as much to cover future lawsuits. 
Obama is a lawsuit pimp. He want cracker's money.

We need to invest in some type of alternative transportation that does not need much oil.
This Air Compress Engine is an idea that may work for some of our needs in America. It is a
starting point. The other option is to continue our dependence on oil and sending inocent
Americans off to war over oil. If you have a better idea or know a better technology please
share it with us and the world.

I know at one time there was a tax credit for those that bought hybrids, but that's been pretty much fazed out. But small business owners where given a huge tax write-off for buying SUV's and Hummers.

That's the kind of attitude georgie and dead-eye dick have about vehicles. That won't change until Obama or Hillory are in the white house.

I know that many people think the bigger the vehicle, the safer it is ... but in reality many guys buy these big vehicles to compensate for a small penis

Please, as if a war over oil was invented by Bush?
First of all, gasoline only makes up 40% of the use of oil.
Air compressors create a large amount of heat or carbon, in addition to creating a hazard with air pressure in the event of an accident.
Honda made an electric car, they were sued by a group of Lawyers representing a  lobbying group for blind people. The car was too quiet, it was a potential danger for blind people. When ethanol was introduced, oil companies were sued because a group of Lawyers said it polluted our drinking water. I can go on with this environmental profiteering.
These fluorescent bulbs contain mercury, they must be disposed of as a hazardous material. Mercury is extremely toxic.
No matter what kind of fuels are used, there will be pollution created from it. Rather than this being a feeding frenzy for greedy environmentalists and a political issue for Liberals, why not actually get "something" done?
Don't try the "Oil companies are blocking the development of alternative fuels" sham. Congress regulates oil companies, period!

Thanks for giving us such great alternatives to our current energy situation.
I just gave you an alternative, get these stupid lawsuits, environmentalists and Liberals out of the equation and something will be done but there is no alternative fuel that will not create different and maybe even bigger problems.

Peter you are absolutly right. Until we start looking at alternative energy resources
we will continue to fight over oil. These ideas presented are just a start. The Air car
may or may not work but we have to begin some where. Also, we as Americans have
to contribute to the solution and not to the problem.

this nation continues to eschew a reality based energy policy.  lets turn our cities on to nuclear energy.  in the interim expand the responsible exploitation of coal, oil, natural gas....all of which exists in our own back yard.  if the govt wants to mandate, let it be in the form of that all vehicles sold in this country must be flex fuel capable by say 2025!  provide tax incentives for the development of non-petroleum based fuels...mandate that any home built or bought with govt subsidies must be solar supported.

The Texas Dept of Highways has been using natural gas powered trucks for over 20 years now. Of course, the tank that holds the natural gas is an explosion hazard.
Eliminate environmental profiteering and the world can deplete a different resource.
