WAPO/ABC Poll - Obama 51 McSame 44

In general election matchups, Obama leads McCain by 51-44 percent, similar to the last two ABC News/Washington Post polls. Standings in a Clinton vs. McCain race are 49-46 percent, again roughly similar to previous ABC News/Washington Post results.

About a quarter of Clinton supporters (26 percent) say they'd favor John McCain over Obama, and about as many Obama supporters (22 percent) say they'd take McCain over Clinton. However that's a measure taken in the heat of Democratic battle; again, how the race ends, and goes forward toward November, likely will count for much.

Whites tend to lie in polls. They don't want to appear as racist. Many whites will not vote for obama because of his race. In the privacy of the voting booth a large percentage will vote for McCain. Republicans have been voting for obama as they loathe hillary. They will not vote for obama in the fall. All he will have is the leftys and the blacks. Thats the way many people are. Just as most blacks voted for obama and  whites vote  for Hillary not all but the majority. Come november, obama will be out. McCain will win the election. you can take that to the bank. his only salvation is hillary as vp.

The polls change and vary from day to day. Tomorrow they will show mccain ahead as they did last week. If you don't believe that a large percentage of whites will not vote for obama simply because he is black then you are in complete denial. This country is very divided by race. I am white but have black relatives as my niece married a black man and they have children, in Canada. Thank God they will not experience racism like in the USA.
